are based on two fundamental concepts. First, we want to breathe life into Gold Rush history by bringing together the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and textures of the 1850s in a way

that makes them feel real for visitors. Second, we want to immerse visitors in that reality so that they can experience first-hand what life was like during the Gold Rush. At any of our programs, you can expect to be invited to try your hand at the activities which are being demonstrated.
